The Product Technology Manager works within the IT Business Unit (approximately 500 FTE). He/she is responsible for the IT department of Stater together with five ICT colleague Managers. This means, among other things, the run of the entire critical infrastructure, information security, data intelligence, privacy/AVG, the design and implementation of project selection, coordination and realization within the own change portfolio based on the frameworks set within Stater's governance.

He/she is accountable for end-to-end performance within the portfolio and, together with the relevant Manager, is authorized to make decisions. The starting point is always that the performance of the change portfolio is in line with the change objectives of Stater and its clients. As Product Manager, the candidate in this position makes an essential and guiding contribution to Stater's further IT strategy.

The Product Technology Manager is also responsible for the management and development of his or her employees (approximately 80 FTE). These include among others the Product Owners. These professionals work at the intersection of customer, business and IT processes, such as changes in work and customer processes, system adjustments and implementations. A Product Owner is responsible for keeping the assigned parts of the IT landscape stable, future-proof and secure and for realizing and implementing the change for the customers.

Of course within the available change budget. This is performed using prioritized user stories on the prioritized product back log of the relevant scrum teams. He/she understands better than anyone that this is a dynamic process and therefore subject to constant change.


What you’ll be doing

  • Own the product vision and roadmap;
  • Own end to end product life cycle right from conceptualization till post-delivery activities;
  • Manage the team of product owners;
  • Research and identify stakeholder needs and effectively manage stakeholder expectations;
  • Manage a backlog of new features and enhancements for the product;
  • Define and monitor key KPI’s for the product;
  • Work closely with an engineering team to build and operate the product;
  • Analyze, understand and share learnings to build a strong knowledge base
  • of the product.

What you’ll bring:

  • At least 5 to 7 years of product technology management experience on high traffic systems and systems in preferably the financial services environment;
  • Strong technical understanding;
  • Proven track record in translating and implementing business strategy into successful digital products;
  • Customer focused and solving user problems obsessed;
  • Experience working with Agile development methodologies;
  • Experience making data-driven decisions;
  • Very strong communication and stakeholder management skills and ability to manage priorities in time sensitive situations;
  • Experience in leading and managing a team would be preferred;
  • Experience in change management and IT transformation.
