Wie is Stater eigenlijk? Wellicht heb je nog nooit van ons gehoord, dus wij leggen je graag uit wat we doen. Binnen stater ontwikkelen en leveren wij hypothecaire diensten en platformen voor externe geldgevers. Met onze producten en diensten beheren wij 40% van de hypotheken in Nederland. Werken bij ons is dus werken bij een organisatie die midden in de maatschappij staat met producten die veel Nederlandse gezinnen (indirect) raken. Onze klanten zijn o.a. grote Nederlandse banken en andere geldverstrekkers.

Over deze functie

Wat ga je doen?

As a Foundation Engineer, you will be the expert in various technologies to help building and maintaining a robust foundation for our data operations. On a daily basis, you will design, develop, and maintain the data infrastructure using tools such as SQL and Hadoop. You will manage Hadoop ecosystem components like HDFS, Hive, and Spark for data storage, queries, and processing.

You will also be involved in developing and implementing data pipelines using Python/Pyspark for data processing and transformation. Additionally, you'll enjoy working with unstructured data and older data warehouse technologies such as Informatica Powercenter and SQL Server. Furthermore, you'll be responsible for version control and collaboration in various projects using Git.

Naar wie zijn wij op zoek?

You are an experienced data engineer and meticulous in your work. You appreciate a pragmatic approach, enjoy brainstorming, and take a proactive approach when engaging with relevant stakeholders. Additionally, you are constantly seeking opportunities for improvements and optimization.

Furthermore, you have:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience with SQL and proven experience working with complex databases.
  • Deep knowledge of Hadoop ecosystem components, including HDFS, Hive, and Spark.
  • Experience with Python/pyspark for data processing and analysis.
  • Familiarity with Git for version control and collaboration in software development.
  • Experience with PowerDesigner for designing and maintaining data models.
  • Understanding of unstructured data and experience with older data warehouse technologies such as Informatica PowerCenter and SQL Server.
