Lead Engineer

Wie is Stater eigenlijk? Wellicht heb je nog nooit van ons gehoord, dus wij leggen je graag uit wat we doen. Binnen stater ontwikkelen en leveren wij hypothecaire diensten en platformen voor externe geldgevers. Met onze producten en diensten beheren wij 40% van de hypotheken in Nederland. Werken bij ons is dus werken bij een organisatie die midden in de maatschappij staat met producten die veel Nederlandse gezinnen (indirect) raken. Onze klanten zijn o.a. grote Nederlandse banken en andere geldverstrekkers.

Top 5 responsibilities

The primary goal of the Lead Engineer role at Stater is to drive and maintain excellence in the design and implementation of software solutions within the Business Unit Technology. Ensure that technology initiatives are executed efficiently and aligned with industry standards.

Organize technical decision-making within the boundaries and guidelines of architecture by mobilizing and connecting groups of Engineers.
Ensure that standardization and solution initiatives are translated into the team backlogs in coordination with the Product Owners.
Translate (non)functional and technical information requirements into (components of) IT architecture, and design, develop, implement, and manage systems, products, and applications in alignment with Agile techniques, the IT strategy, IT policies, and user requirements and needs.
Guiding, motivating and mentoring teams adhere to the reference architecture. Together with the Enterprise Architect, Domain Architects, Business- and Solution Architects. You help other engineers to foster their craftmanship and help them achieve their full potential by coaching them daily.

Skills

Naar wie zijn wij op zoek?

Experience of 5-10 years as an Engineer, IT Architect, IT Consultant or other relevant positions;
Academic work and thinking level, with a technical background;
Experience in mortgage services is a plus;
Experience in transforming a services-oriented company towards a product-oriented company is a plus;
Proven experience in designing and implementing complex transactional technology systems using modern software engineering principles and practices (cloud native; APIs; microservices; headless principle);
Demonstrated leadership experience, ideally in a senior or lead role within technical team(s);
Understands process architecture, business architecture in relation to our strategy;
Preferably, understanding of business & IT processes;
Proficiency in the English language (both spoken and written);
Great sparring partner to Business, IT teams, customers.
